Sooma organises webinars for medical professionals to look at tDCS therapies from different perspectives. Presented by experts, though-leaders and practitioners, Sooma webinars provide an in-depth understanding of the capabilities and opportunities that tDCS presents for clinical practice. Each webinar includes a presentation and a Q&A segment where your questions are answered by leading experts in the field.

How to join: All webinars are completely free of charge to join. Simply register for the webinar of your choice below, and a link will be sent to you in a confirmation email. If you do not receive a link, make sure that you have not unsubscribed from our mailing list. Webinars are hosted on Zoom and can be accessed using your internet browser without any installation. January - Finnish language webinar: "5 years of tDCS treatments: Experiences with tDCS therapy at Turku University Hospital"

Lauri Virtanen is one of the leading experts in clinical tDCS treatment in Finland. TYKS's neuromodulation unit has been at the forefront of the development of routine use of tDCS treatment in Finland since 2017. Lauri will present his experiences with tDCS treatment and answer the questions from the audience together with Sooma host Ville Andsten.

March - Norwegian language webinar: "Implementing tDCS therapies in Norway: a treatment for depression and stroke-induced aphasia"

In this webinar, Dr Eivind Aakhus will introduce transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) as a treatment for depression and stroke-induced aphasia, indications recently recommended by the "National System for Managed Introduction of New Health Technologies within the Specialist Health Service" to be used in specialist healthcare.

The webinar is aimed at healthcare professionals and will be held on 22 March at 16:00 (EET) in Norwegian.

April: "Therapeutic tDCS for Pain Treatment – Current Practice in Turku University Hospital"

In this webinar, Satu K. Jääskeläinen, Head of the Department of Clinical Neurophysiology at Turku University Hospital (TYKS) will present her extensive experience with transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) as a treatment for pain disorders on an event broadcasted live from Turku.
